Thieves Take Cancer Film

(Rec. 11 a.m.) MONTREAL. Jan. 23. A colour film on cancer research was stolen from McGill University, says the Montreal Gazette. The film took over a year to make and is the only one of its kind. It embodies all the findings of many years' research .and constituted one of the most important milestones in cancer investigation. An official engaged in th£ search told the Gazette that the possibility was being considered that tiie film may have been stolen by an agent for a foreign government which appropriated millions of dollars for similar research. The official added: “This film could be the basis for an entire research plan.” The film was stolen after a preview showing.
