South Africa Replies
(10 a.m.) JOHANNESBBURG Jan. 23. In reply to India’s trade boycott. South Africa is planning a factory at Johannesburg, at a cost of £500,000. to make 15,000.000 jute bags a year.
Equipment is awaited from Britain. Mr H. G. Kenney the controller of jute bags, stated there was every possibility that India would never regain control of the South African jute bag market, which it had before imposing sanctions. S
