The absence of several leading overseas buyers was reflected in the bidding on the third day of the National Yearling Sales at Trenlham today, although there was keen competition for better class lots.

Top price of me morning was guineas paid by the Melbourne owner, Mr H. S. Hartsmever. for a splendid type of colt by Ihe leading sire Foxbridge from the Whirlwind mare Whirlmint. During the morning 26 lots were sold for a total of 11.935 guineas Sales included: On a/c L. W. Penny, Whangarei, br c. Beau Repaire—- Palardo, Mrs A.
