Jan. 22. <1! a.m.) The Control Commission in Germany is selling German businessmen a mass-produced people's car for 4000 marks, which is nominally £IOO. but actually represents 800 cigarettes, or li lb of tobacco. says the Evening Standard's Hamburg correspondent. A British serviceman pays £ 160. A German factory is now producing 1000 of 11 lose cars every mouth.
