Allegation Against Q'land Minister

(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) BRISBANE. This Day. An allegation that excise officers had seized a quantity of contraband tobacco at the home of the Queensland Minister of Health and Home Affairs (Mr Foley) was made by Mr Bruce Pie, leader of the People's .Party in the Queensland Parliament. This was contained in a notice of motion of no confidence in the State Government which Mr Pie proposes to move this week.

Questioned by the Speaker. Mr Pie maintained that the matter was permissible, as it did not reflect on the activities of the courts.

Mr Foley said that when the question was raised in the’ House again he would make a simple statement.
