Waterside Inquiry To Be Resumed
(Special.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The Waterside Industry Commission will resume sitting-today after being adjourned since October HI. The adjournment came after the workers’ and employers’ representatives failed to agree on the union’s claims for the payment of appearance money ol' 14/- a day for attending work at' 8 a.m. to await a call when k no work was forthcoming. Announcement of the resumed sitting, was made after a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Waterside. Workers’ Union with the chairman of the commission (Mr Justice C’ngley) and the employers’ representatives.
It is expected that routine business will be discussed and that negotiations on the daily wage will not be held until next week.
