Disabled Soldiers Send King Message

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. “Two hundred and fifty disabled exservicemen of all ranks of both World Wars, assembled at a reunion at Government House, send to you, their beloved King, expressions of their devotion and assurances of their loyalty.” This message was sent by the Gov-ernor-Ggneral (Sir Bernard Freyberg V.C.) to the King on the occasion of a reunion of disabled servicemen held at Government House on Wednesday. His Majesty replied: “Please convey to all ranks of ex-servicemen assembled at this evening’s reunion at Government House my sincere thanks for their kind and loyal message of good wishes.”
