Mrs Steele Wins Medal Competition
The A division of the LGU medal competition of the Whangarei Ladies’ Golf Club was won by Mrs E. H. Steele, with a score of 86-14-72. Other goods cards were returned by Mrs O. M. Georgeson, 90-17-73; Miss M. Rishworth, 89-15-74, and Mrs N. S. Franklin, 90-16-74. Mrs J. Beckett won the B section with 87-22-65. The, next best were Mrs C. R. Hargreave, 108-36-72; Mrs I. Weaver, 99-27-72; Mrs W. C. Harley, 102-30-72, and Mrs R. Whatmough, 108-34-74.
In the final of the Diggers’ trophy, Mrs I. B. Stewart and Mrs N. O. Adams beat Mrs T. C. Campbell and Miss V. Dajvson, 5 and 3. The trophy for the three best medal scores in the C division was won by Mrs R. D. Fei'guson, whose score was 243 net.
