Maintaining the splendid form that he had shown right through the tournament, W. J. Glanville won the final of the Whangarei Golf Club's Labour week-end tournament at Mt Denby, beating L. Bennett, 4 and 2. The finalists gave a finished exhibition.

Glanville equalled the scratch score of the course, 73, and would have re-

turned a 71 but for errors on the last two greens. The best-ball' of the two finalists was 66.

In the finals of the two main flight competitions, J. Morgan beat C. A. Jones, 1 up, and A. G. Sheen beat M. Adlam, 5 and 4. The four-ball best-ball bogey was won by S. E. Chappell and L. C. East, of the Orakei club, 5 up. The club is staging a bogey handicap on Saturday. Players will choose partners and opponents.
