N.Z. Freighter In Collision
(11.45 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 25. The Coastguard has received a radio report that the New Zealand Shipping Company's freighter Kaipaki and the British freighter Liverpool Packet, collided at midnight on Tuesday, 125 miles north-east of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The Liverpool Packet reported that the engineroom was flooded and requested a tow. Two men were injured. The Kaipaki, which was slightly damaged, is standing by.
