Two Prisoners Escape
(Special.) " TAUPO. This Day. Escaping from the Hautu prison camp last Friday night or early on Saturday morning, two prisoners, Leslie Raymond ShortclifTe and Ronald Drury, have not since been seen. Their descriptions are:—
ShortclifTe: Aged 26, sft 9in. high, black curly hair, quarter-caste Maori. He has a mole and a scar on the left side of the face and a scar near the right eye.
Drury: Aged 23. sft BJin. high, fresh complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes. Re has a hesitating speech, tattoo on the left forearm and a scar near the right eye.
