RIFLE SHOOTING Mrs Teal Accurate Handicapper
The self-handicap shoot held by the Whangarei Defence Rifle Club at the week-end was won by Mrs Teal, who estimated her mark to within a point. G. Neville, who put up the best performance off the rifle, shot one above his handicap and was penalised two points to tie for second place with D. Gibson. A varying wind and changing light made it difficult for marksmen to keep their shots in the “bull" and the one rain squall spoiled the chances of those on the mounds at the time.
