Red Army Men Killed
(Roc. 1.20 p.m.) LONDON. March 31. Polish terrorists shot nine Red Armysoldiers, whom they dragged from a train at Czastary, a small station near Lodz, says The Times’ Warsaw correspondent. Armed and uniformed terrorists, including a number of women, surrounded the station, stopped the train, pulled the Russians out of carriages and shot them on the spot. An organised police pursuit resulted in the arrest of six terrorists, two of whom were women, after a battle lasting several hours. All were members of the secret Nationalist terrorist organisation. The incident caused disquiet, in the area. It is expected to result in a new Note from Russia. The Soviet Ambassador at Warsaw, it is understood, already has handed to the Polish Foreign Office more than a dozen Notes enumerating assaults and killings of members of the Red Army in recent months.
