Three Steeplechasers Killed In Falls
(Rec. 1.0 p.m.) LONDON. March 29. Three horses were killed in falls in the Levant Novices Steeplechase at Rontwell Park today. The favourite, African Melody, broke a shoulder and another horse. Law Scholar, broke its back when both came down at the water jump. A third horse. Ruddock, also broke its back at another fence. Two other horses also fell.
