(Special.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The Food and Rationing Controller has issued details of prices and conditions of hundreds of tons of surplus army food which is available for immediate purchase -within the Dominion.

The circular, dated February 5, contains lists of a wide variety of canned goods, some of which have already been deleted, indicating the extent of early purchases.

Foodstuffs which are still available include canned beet, carrots, peas and tomatoes and dehydrated cabbage, onions, potatoes, peas, beet, cauliflower, soup, cocoa, soda crackers, jelly mint, tomato catsup, mustard pickles, sweet relish, baking powder, Worcester sauce, baking soda and tomato pulp and puree are also included. The great quantities in which some lines are available are indicated by specifications of packs and cubic measurements, one offering of dehydrated peas alone being estimated to contain over 5700 tons.

This food may all be purchased for local distribution at current Price Tribunal prices, where applicable.
