Amend Mine Regulations
iP.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day. A number of provisions of a departmental and machinery nature are contained in amendment No. 10 to the Mining Regulations, 1926, according. to an announcement by the Minister for Mines 'Hon. J. O’Erien).
Improvements are made in procedure in Warden’s Courts for registration of mining privileges, sub-division of residence sites, registration of machines for treating ore, the manner of assessing compensation to an outgoing holder of a business or residence site license, and replacement of defaced and dilapidated documents.
Regulations regarding the Board of Examiners are re-enacted, incorporating ail previous amendments, and making 5 ever a I minor additions, while regulations governing maximum temperature in working places in metal mines are also re-enacted, with the addition that humidity cf atmosphere shall be taken into account. This alteration is made to cover cases where men are required to work in conditions combining high temperature with a saturated atmosphere.
