Representative Patterson (Democrat) in a speech, said that General Stihvell told a Congressional delegation which recently visited Okinawa that he was asked to leave the China command because he told Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek that he wanted the ammunition the United States was furnishing to be used against the ; Japanese, not the Chinese.
