Does Not Expect Opposition From Lords
(Rec. 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, August 23. Lord .Strabolgi, broadcasting to America. said he did not believe the Conservative majority in the House of Lords was likely to delay or drastically amend any of the Labour Government’s Bills, at least for a year or two. The Government’s remedies against a recalcitrant' House of Lords would be the creation of Labour peers cr a Bill to abolish the Chamber.
