Fireman’s Funeral For Late Mr. C. H. Chissell

'I he funeral of the late Mr. C. H. Chissell took place yesterday afternoon, the interment being at the Maunu cemetery. Deceased, was accorded a fireman's funeral, the body being carried on a floral-embowered fire engine, and the graveside ceremony associated with the burial of a fireman was conducted by Superintendent S. Fulljames, who succeeded the deceased, who, for over 40 years, was superintendent of the brigade. Archdeacon A. E. Prebble was the officiating' clergyman. A large offering of beautiful wreaths bespoke 1 the esteem in which the deceased was held during his long residence in Whangarei. Prior to the funeral, a lodge of sorrow was held at the Masonic Temple.
