Gilmore-Campbell

WEDDINGS

The marriage took place quietly on April 14 at St. David’s Church, Kyber Pass, of Mrs Gwen Campbell, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs C. B. Gager, of Hikurangi, to Captain R. J. Gilmore, British Army (on furlough), eldest son of Mr and Mrs R. Gilmore, Savings Bank, Newmarket. The Rev. W. Bower Black officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a suit of hyacinth blue jersey with openwork pockets of the same material. Her halo hat of light navy was relieved with blue, and she wore a spray of apricot roses. The best man was Corporal G. Gilmore, R.N.Z.A.F., brother of the bridegroom.
