Whangarei Street Names
Allocation of names for new roads to Housing Construction Department blocks within the borough and for those not yet. constructed but approved was asked by the district inspector. He suggested that in future names should be allocated at the time of giving approval to sub-divi-sion, although no delay should be caused through inability to give immediate naming. The question was referred to the town planning committee.

The Parks Committee reported to the Whangarei Borough Council last night that it had suggested to the Anznc Park Domain Board that its recommendation for clearing and planting an area in the domain should be approved and adopted, and it. hricl asked a sub-com-mittee comprising; the chairman <Cr. S. J. Snow), and Messrs. H. Menzies and P. S. Holman to make selections ot trees for planting, Jt had also recommended that pin us insign is trees g,rowing on the domain should be felled and removed, and that it should be the era tnblishod policy of the board to replant the area in Australian and New Zealand trees. Thus conforming to its name.
