Launch Charges on the Bay A lengthy debate took place among members of the Bay of Islands Harbour Board regarding a request, by Fuller and Sons, launchmen in the Bay, that the Board forward a revised scale of charges, showing a general increase m all ordinary and special trips, to the Economic Stabilisation Commission. The board, on a bare majority, acceded to the request with the proviso that 6c! per head be charged for each passenger as wharfage tax. The debate centred round a contention that the tax should be .‘id.
