WELLINGTON, This Day
The death is announced of Mr. Robert Angus, former manager for Thomas Cook and Sons, Limited, in New Zealand, aged 76. He retired from Cooks after 40 years of service, in November, 1931. lii the days before distinguished visitors were escorted by Government departmental officials, Mr. Angus was responsible for many conducted tours of such notable persons as Rudynrd Kipling, who assured Mr. Angus that his celebrated lines about Auckland: “Last, loneliest, loveliest,” would never have been written had Mr. Angus not insisted that he see all the beauties of the South Island.
