2000 Applications Today For Enrolment In City

(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day Nearly 2000 applications came through the mail this morning to the Town Hall for enrolment on the city supplementary roll for the coming elections. It is stated that the completed supplementary roll would probably contain over 14.000 names, compared with approximately 12,000 three years ago. Nominations were called to-day for candidates for a large number of local bodies, and these will close on Saturday, May 13, In the case of some local bodies the closing date will be two days later. Up to noon to-day no nominations had been lodged at the Town Hall.
