WHANGAREI LADIES’ CLUB, Miss' Abbott and Mrs. Martin, with a net score ol’ 74, won the Canadian foursome played during’ the week-end. Other good cards were Airs. Franklin and Airs Aplin, 75. and Airs. Robertson and Alts Foote, 71). Miss Abbott and Airs. Martin are tlie first holders of the Challenge Buttons. WHANGAREI CLUB A. K. Young and J. A. Club competitions do not commence till Saturday, May 13, but next Saturday, a match will be played between the lady and the men members, the proceeds being lot patriotic funds.
