LONDON, April 25
The New Zealand-born Lord Langford was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment. He pleaded guilty to obtaining money by false pretences and attempting to obtain money with intent to defraud. The magistrate said that Lord Langford had sullied the family escutcheon and smirched the honourable reputation hitherto attaching to his family.
