Leave Camps For Allies
(Rec. 1 p.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Federal Government has agreed to the construction of a number of camps for Allied soldiers on leave. Private hotel and boarding accommodation hi is been almost impossible to obtain in the capital cities in recent months. Civilians have complained that accommodation that should be available to them has been occupied by Allied servicemen on leave. There also lias been agitation to hate hostels erected near cities where servicemen on leave can lie accommodated. Camps which will now lie constructed will he near the capital cities where American servicemen are stationed. They will probably be built under the reciprocal Lend-Lease Scheme, and will have full amenities.
