Boys On The Land

(Spec.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Pointing out that the matter involves several departments, the Education Department in a letter to the Tauranga District High School committee and read at the board’s meeting today, has advised that it is unlikely that any early decision will be given on a recommendation made by the committee concerning the scheme of the school of agriculture committee for placing boys on the land with a view to their ultimately becoming owner-farmers. The department states that the scheme will be brought to the notice of the Government and recommendations made known.
