Bdr. C. L. Dinsdnle- and Mrs. Dinsdale were guests of Mrs. C. E. Cotton. Mrs. Word ley, snr, of Dargarville, has been staying with Mrs George Wordle.v. Miss Margaret Ki'ppa. of Auckland, is spending her annual holiday with Mrs. H Pitman. 1 Misses Dulcie and Jean Buckland, of Takapuna, were guests of their aunt, Mrs. Holmes. Mrs. Latham (nee Muriel Gash) is staying with Mrs. A. Morgan. Mission Meeting A very enjoyable meeting of the OtaiJca Women’s Mission Guild was held lasl Tuesday afternoon at the home of the president (Mrs. J. Middleton). Four visitors from the Whangarei M.W.M.A., Mesdames Court, Silk. Brown and Taylor, were welcomed. A very generous donation to the guild funds from Mr. Stanton, a brother of Mrs. W. A. Johnston was gratefully acknowledged. During the afternoon the whangarei ladies gave interesting talks. Mrs. Court outlined the routine work carried on by their branch. Mrs. Taylor described “Kurahuna”, the Maori Girls’ School at Onehunga. Mrs. Silk dealt with the allocation of funds raised by the Whangarei M.W.M.A. and those received from branch missions. Mrs. Brown spoke of the collection and treatment of stamps for ’raising funds. The hostess served afternoon tea. W.D.F.U. Meeting The Puwera branch s of the W.D.F.U. held its March meeting in the Otaika hall last, Thursday, the vice-president (Mrs. R. W. Gunson)- presiding. A report of the executive meeting held during February at Whangarei, was givAi by Mrs. R. W. Gunson. Mesdames R. W. Gunson and M. Gunson were appointed, delegates to the inter-provincial meeting to be,held in Whangarei. A new member. Mrs. H. Clark, was enrolled. ...
