Writing to the Court that he had only recently been discharged from the Army, Charles Albert Herman was convicted and ordered to pay costs only by the magistrate (Mr. Raymond Ferner), when charged in the Whangarei Court yesterday with not having a warrant of fitness for his motor car. Similarly charged, Albert Arthur Tavinor was fined 10/- with costs, while on charges of not having a warrant of fitness or a driver's licence, David Low Duncan was fined 10/- and £1 with costs respectively. Eric Noel Harnett was lined £1 with costs for not having a driver's license.
