High Awards For Airmen

(8.0. W., 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, December 12. The award of the D.S.C., second highest United States military decoration, to Bri-gadier-Generals Curtis E. Lamay and Robert B. Williams, both of the Eighth Army Air Foi’ce Bomber Command, has been announced by Lieut.-General Jacob L. Devers, commanding the American forces in the European theatre of operations. The generals won the D.S.C. for heroism while personally loading EnglandAfrica shuttle bombing attacks of the Army Air Force on August 17. General Lemay (then colonel) led the raid against Regensburg, and General Williams against Schweinfurt.
