Lady Newall With N.Z. Women In London
(Special 11. a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 4 Lady Newall was given a reception by the New Zealand’s Women Association. Mrs. W. J. Jordan, wife of the New Zealand High Commissioner, introduced a large number of members to her. Lady Newall, in a speech, told what fine work the women of New Zealand were doing for the war effort and that she had seen and learned much of what the women of Great Britain were doing and would be able to tell New Zealanders on her return. She added: ”No words of mine could express the gratitude of my husband and myself for all the kindness and help given us since we arived in New Zealand.
