Auckland Girl To Be Jamaica’s P.T. Chief

LONDON, October 1.

The Colonial Office has selected an Aucklander, Miss Winsome Bach, as Jamaica’s first woman supervisor of physical training. She will prepare a comprehensive programme of physical training for schools under’ the Jamaica Education Department and also train school-teachers and instructors. She went to Auckland Girls’ Grammar, thence to the Teachers’ Training College. She went to London in 1930 and .later obtained a diploma in the theory and practice of physical education.
