Move For More Petrol For Private Motorists

(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day. G. Farrell). Mr Farrell said he feit that the petrol position in New' Zealand had sufficiently improved to warrant the Government immediately restoring the full value of coupons. Requirements for home defence had greatly decreased and the amount thus available and that which would have been consumed by the recently-proposed victory parade, should be sufficient to provide for an extra half coupon for some time.
