Value Of Rodney Land For Recreation Ground

(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day. A Compensation Court, which has been constituted to determine the value of 92 acres of land that has been taken by the Rodney County Council for the purpose of recreation opened its sittings at the Supreme Court yesterday. The claimant is Daniel Victor Moore, school teacher, and trustee in the estate of Richard Goldsworthy, who claims £2685 from the Rodney County Council for the land which fronts Tiller’s Bay about 10 miles from Warkworth.

The court is presided over by Mr Justice Fair, the assessors being Mr V. Clay for claimant and Mr J. M. Melville for the Rodney County Council. The court adjourned to view the property and on resuming today will hear evidence.
