Final Activities Of Kaipara Candidates
Mr. T. C. Webb, Independent candidate for Kaipara, who has geen speaking at Matakana, Kaiwaka and other centres at the southern end of the doctorate, has been given a good reception at all meetings, where he has expounded his poiicv. Detailing his policy at Ahikiwi and Aranga on Wednesday, Mr. P. McG. Stewart. Independent aspirant for the electorate, explained to his audiences that he considered both parties in the House were under the control of outside interests, and that Democracy was not being given a fair trial under the party system. Speaking at Paparoa on Wednesday night, Mr. J. S. Stewart, Labour candidate, claimed that in four years of war and four years of peace, the Government had established a record which warranted the confidence of the people. He denied that the Federation of Labour dominated the Government.
