Australian Making New Anti-Tank Gan
SYDNEY, This Day. A new type anti-tank gun, of a later model than the six-pounder being supplied to the British armies in the Mediterranean area, was in product ion in Australia, said the Minister for Munitions (Mr Maltin'). Deliveries were already being made to the army. "This is only one instance in which Inc development ‘of production of a new weapon is proceeding' almost simultaneously in Australia and the United Kingdom'” added Mr Makin. “Time will .iustil'v my assertion that, production 01 this weapon is the most creditable performance yet put up by the Australian munitions industry,”
