Executions By Nazis
LONDON, July 22. A Berlin news agency reported that four men and one woman were sentenced to death at Sofia for espionage. The police discovered an extensive spy network sending out reports from radio transmitters in Varna and Plovdiv. , According to the Dutch secret newspaper “Vrij Nedeland,” the Germans have executed 2200 Dutchmen since the occupation of the Netherlands to the end of last February. The number of executions since February has risen sharply. The Germans shot 1000 Dutchmen alone during demonstrations in May.
