Gigantic Supplies Task
LONDON, May 17. Illustrating the complex nature of supply services vital to General Alexander’s plans in North Africa, a correspondent says that 200,000 different items, ranging from a toothbrush to the heaviest bomb, had to be shipped to the Allied forces. These included 500,000 tons of soap and 7000 miles of barbed wire.
