Solstar Wins At 2800 To One

(Rec. Noon.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Odds of nearly 2800 to one, an Australian record, were established when Solstar won the Stanley Plate at Flemington on Saturday. Only 11 5/totalisator tickets were taken out for a win and 38 for a place. The win ticket holders collected almost £7OO each and place ticket holders almost £6O.

The world's biggest dividend, 3400 to one. was paid when Coole won the Saturday Hurdles at Haydock Park. England, on November 30, 1929. Solstar, making his third run. had little form to i-ecommend him and his jockey. W. Cldow, was having only his fourth ride.
