Britain’s Aerodrome Defence Chief

[British Official Wireless! (Rec. 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY. Jan. 9. Major-General Liardet, who has been appointed to the command of the newly-founded Royal Air Force regiment lor the specific purposes of defending aerodromes, is warmly approved in the press as being the man best qualified to occupy this new and difficult position. He was previously Inspector-General of Aerodrome Defence, and is said to be one of the first to realise the paramount importance of adequately protected airfields. He has already been at work in secret on his new job for some months.
