U.S. Army Likes Ice Cream
A grcuD of investigators announced recently that Uncle Sam’s soldiers eat 50 per cent, more ice cream a man than other Americans. The investigators were pleased—they were representatives of the Ice Cream Trade Journal.
Checking 565,000 men in camp for a month, they found 107,000 gallons of ice cream was served in mess halls, and the soldiers bought 103,000 gallons more for an annual rate of 3.80 gallons per man. The national average is 2£ gallons a year.
