Summer Uniform For Guard

Summer uniforms, similar to those used by the men serving in the Middle East, will be worn for the firs', time by Whangarei home-guardsmen" at headquarters company’s parade on Sunday.

Designed for freedom and coolness, the uniforms will permit of greater comfort and are definitely more suitable for the warmer summer weather. Full webb equipment is to be worn, and exercises with trench mortars, machine-guns and rifles are to be carried out.
