Whangarei Soldier Pays Supreme Sacrifice In Action In Libya
Cabled advice had been received by Mr and Mrs W. G. Johnson, 131 Kamo Road (late Springs Flat, Kamo), that their second son, No. 3180 Lance-Cpt. Alfred George Johnson, had been killed in action on November 23, 1941. A member of the Middle East Forces, he went overseas with the 2nd Echelon.
