School Open Brightly

Against Kamo, School opened brightly and runs came quickly. Nisbet and Black appeared to master the bowling, and scored with good strokes all round the wicket. Nisbet was caught at 26, and Black went our the same way after making 33. Child, who played the best innings of the day, scored freely and with a good variety of strokes. He gave one or two chances but his 76 represented an excellent innings. He retired to give his team mates time to bat. Bennett and Penk were bowling with fairly good length and the next School wickets did not produce many runs. Good Total Rasmussen made 13 before he put one up for McKenzie to catch, and Teesdale retired after he had made 14 runs. School’s innings closed with 198 for nine wickets. The Kamo batsmen found Rasmussen and Nisbet, School bowlers, very troublesome, and could not score off them. Rogers was the only man to reach double figures, and Kamo was all out for 42 in their first innings. In the second innings, they settled down better, and McKenzie contributed a valuable 40. He was bowled by Ras-

mussen after a good knock. Faggn came to light with a very bright 40. scoring freely and all round the wicket. Time was played out. Kamo losing eight wickets for 117 runs.
