Games For Home Guard And W.W.S.A.

[Per Press Association.—Copyright.] WELLINGTON. This Day. Plans for summer recreation in the form of systematic exercises and games are being prepared by physical welfare officers for the. Home Guard and Women’s War Service Auxiliary. The Minister for Internal Affairs (Mr. Parry) stated yesterday that conspicuous features in the summer schedule would be a learn-to-swim campaign and tabloid sports which were specially suitable for Home Guardsmen. The importance of these sports was that a large number of men could participate at the same time. The officers would be pleased to help to organise travel, camping or tramping parties, while playground programmes were being organised for children.
