iPer Press Association.—Copyright] WELLINGTON, This Day Owing to the signature of a withdrawal slip not corresponding with the specimen signature, Reginald Albert Henry Strudwick was questioned at the post office, whereupon, according to the police, he ran off, leaving the slip and the book. ' He was charged with the forgery of the slip before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., yesterday. It was stated that a Government cadet with whom accused shared a room missed his bank-book, and the withdrawal slip for £l2 and the book were presented by accused at the bank.

Strudwick pleaded guilty, and was committed for sentence.
