Demand Six-Day Week For Women
(Rec. 1 p.m.) LONDON. Sept. 3. A motion before the Trade Union Congress declared that large numbers of women are working a seven-day week. Many' in addition spent two or three hours daily in travelling and married women had no time left for shopping. The motion, which was referred to the general council, demanded a sixday week to avoid ultimate harmful effects. It is revealed that the unions agreed that women should drive road and passenger vehicles.
