Semple Addresses Aussie Labourites

(Rec. 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Three hundred delegates attended the annual conference of the official Labour Farty at the weekend. The New Zealand Minister for National Service (Mr. R. Semple) was invited to address the conference and said the object cf his visit was to try to create a closer link between New Zealand and Australia.

He outlined steps being taken in New Zealand for national security, and said ; “It is our bounden duty to seek the greatest measure of help possible for the people. We want the greatest understanding between New Zealand and Australia so that we can offer effective resistance to any danger to our homes.”
