Plain And Fancy Dress Dance

The Parochial Hall was the scene of a very enjoyable event' on Tuesday evening when a ball was held as the opening of a series of dances promoted to assist the funds of the Crippled Children’s Society. Excellent music was provided by Cos Wright's orchestra, and a capital supper was provided! The winner of the prize for the prettiest fancy dress was Miss A. King, while Miss J. Miller was awarded the prize for the most original dress. Miss Shirley Maxwell acted as judge. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr. R. Wise, who, with a committee of ladies and gentlemen interested in the welfare of crippled children, organised the function. The next dance will be held on Wednesday evening, the hall being engaged on Tuesday.
